Value receipts measure costs, human value and ROI

A Value Receipt now shows what an agent cost, what its work would have cost done by a person, and the ROI, all measured from your own data over the last 30 days. Agents and your code can read the same numbers from the API.

The ROI, human value equivalent and cost sections of a Value Receipt used to say "not measured yet". They are measured now.

  • Costs are the agent's pricing calls on Last Price at list price (calls covered by a free allowance or a day pass still count at the per-call price), plus any costs you record for the agent with POST /api/costs. Only US dollars are added up; costs in other currencies are listed and never converted.
  • Human value equivalent comes from a value you set on each signal in Settings, Value receipts: what one occurrence would cost done by a person. A signal without a value is listed and left out of the total.
  • ROI compares the two. It appears only when a signal has a value and the agent has US dollar costs, and otherwise says what is missing.
  • GET /api/agents/{id}/value-receipt returns the same receipt for any period up to a year. An agent can read its own receipt with its own key.
